From the Port Line shipping company this is an as used in service china saucer which is heavily patterned in company design and in an excellent condition.
[The Port Line was a passenger and cargo shipping company, initially formed as the Commonwealth and Dominion Line in 1914, and in operation in one form or another until 1982. Port Line was formed in 1914 with 23 ships contributed by J.P. Corry & Co., Wm Milburn & Co., Thos. B. Royden & Co., and Tyser & Co. to operate services to Australia and New Zealand. In 1916 the share capital of the company was purchased by Cunard and after the war, their ships’ funnels were painted in Cunard colours.]
