From the Royal Mail Line this is a small three handled silver coloured souvenir pot from the vessel the SS Demerara, which is in a very good condition and stands 1½" (5cm) high, and shows on the front the vessels name and company flag. Very rare find.
[The SS Demerara was a British steamship built by Harland and Wolff at Belfast, Northern Ireland and was launched on December 21, 1911. She was owned by the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company, London, England and was 500 feet long, of 11,484 tons with a speed of 13.5 knots. She was a refrigerated meat carrier with accommodation for 933 passengers. She was equipped with wireless. SS Demerara was named after the river in British Guiana.]
